Lake Travis Bass Fishing: Multi-Species Action with Bass Tours ATX fishing report coverpicture

Cody's crew strikes gold with bass on Lake Travis this fall!

One for the books today! took Cody and his crew out on Lake Travis early morning for some fall fishing with clear conditions throughout the day. water temps were perfect for bass activity and we had great visibility across the lake. this was our Enjoy Half Day (Am or Pm)& Full Day Of Guided Fishing trip with Bass Tours ATX and conditions couldn't have been better for what we had planned. Once the stage was set, we focused on trolling the deeper structure first thing, then switched to bottom fishing around the rocky points where bass like to hold. casting with lures worked real well in the shallows and we managed to connect with some nice smallmouth bass, largemouth bass, and florida bass throughout the morning. Lake Travis is perfect for this kind of fishing because you got deep water structure right next to shallow flats, so you can work different techniques without moving far. the bass were definitely cooperative and we had steady action most of the trip. reckon the clear conditions helped us spot the fish holding tight to cover and we wrapped up with some big ol' smiles all around. if y'all are fixin' to get out on Lake Travis for some quality bass fishing, this is exactly what our Lake Travis Fishing Charter | Texas Fishing Charter is all about. we run these guided fishing trips year round and fall fishing has been outstanding with bass active in both deep and shallow water. trolling works great for covering water and finding active schools while bottom fishing and casting with lures lets you work specific structure where the big ones like to hide. Lake Travis bass fishing gives you the chance to target smallmouth bass, largemouth bass, and florida bass all in one trip and the variety keeps things interesting all day long. our Bass Tours ATX trips are designed to put you on fish whether you want a half day morning or afternoon session or a full day adventure. the lake has incredible structure and we know where to find them when they're biting. give us a holler if you want to experience some of the best bass fishing texas has to offer right here on Lake Travis.

Hooked on Lake Travis: Battling Largemouth and Guadalupe Bass

One for the books today! I took Cristina out on Lake Travis for a morning of fishing with Bass Tours ATX. The weather was perfect, with some clearing in the afternoon, and the water conditions were ideal for our target species. With our gear rigged and ready, we started the day working the shoreline with live bait and Texas rigs. The Largemouth Bass were really active, and we managed to land a few nice ones, including a 27-incher that put up a great fight. Cristina was a natural with the drop shot technique, and we found some nice Guadalupe Bass holding in the deeper structure, including an 18-inch beauty. This lake is such a gem - the variety of bass species and the beautiful scenery make it a favorite spot for our guides. We wrapped up the trip with some great catches and smiles all around. Chasing Texas Bass: An Exhilarating Lake Travis Fishing Adventure fishing report coverpicture

March 27, 2025

Trophy Bass, Feisty Hybrids, and Stunning Scenery Await on Lake Travis!

We had a fantastic day out on Lake Travis, chasing the elusive Largemouth Bass and a few other species. As a passionate fishing guide with Bass Tours ATX, I was excited to take Dave Henderson and his group of three out for a morning of Texas lake fishing trip.

March is a prime time to target Largemouth Bass on Lake Travis, as the warming waters have them actively feeding and moving into their pre-spawn patterns. We met up at 2601 Cody Ave and headed out, taking advantage of the clear conditions throughout the day. Once on the water, we started working the lake with light tackle, covering different structure and depths to find the hot spots.

It didn't take long before the action started heating up. We were into Smallmouth Bass, Largemouth Black Bass, and even a few Florida Bass and White Bass. The Wiper, or Hybrid Striped Bass, were particularly feisty, putting up a great fight on our lightweight gear. Dave and the crew were all smiles, working their lures and flies with precision and enthusiasm. Between the steady bites and the camaraderie on the boat, the time flew by.

Though we didn't manage to land any trophy-sized fish, it was still a day filled with great memories and plenty of quality catches. Spending a morning on the water, surrounded by the beautiful Texas scenery and chasing after some of the most exciting freshwater species, is what makes these Lake Travis fishing trips so special. If you're looking to experience the best bass fishing in the heart of Texas, I'd highly recommend booking a trip with Bass Tours ATX. Whether you're an experienced angler or just getting started, we'll make sure you have an unforgettable time on the water. Let's get you out here and onto some Texas bass!
