<p><div>lake travis is up 38 feet ans still rising, now only 6ft below full. we are getting opportunity to fish all new water on lake travis and while bunch of flooded brush, creating tons of new habitat for the fish. today we focused on that 5-15 foot range making sure we are fishing good contour on the bottom. our best spot today while fishing lake travis was a saddle </div></p>

<div>the water on lake travis has cooled slightly over the oast few days dew to high winds and unisual weather. the water temp is 65 and the bass are shallow. we are fishing grass flats on lake travis. it seems like rihht now if you can find grass you can find bass.&nbsp;</div>

<div>today we put some 6th sense fishing rods to use. probably my favorite is the response serise by 6th sense. on them we had 1/4oz ball head jigs with 3" and 4" swim baits. sometimes we wiuld switch to an underspin to get some extra bites. also working very well right now is a dropshot trick worm. almost any color seems to work, the key is having it on a light weight, 3/16oz is what i have been using&nbsp;</div>

<div>the fishing on lake travis today was absolutly inredible we had one of my best days out there in a while. we boated well over 70 fish with our biggest being about 25 lbs. we soend the day in a mssive grass flat throwing an assorment of soft plastics and the occasional top water&nbsp;</div>

<div>water temps on lake travis are 58-61 degrees and the fish are moving up in less then 10 feet of water pretty much through out the lake. While fishing today we targeted large grass flats that are being hit by the wind. fishing in 2'-10' of water</div>

<div>today while fishing on lake trvia we used 6th sense medium light soinning rods. since we are fishing grass i used a 15lb floro leaded with a 1/4oz jig head and 3"-4" swimbait.&nbsp;</div><div><br></div>

<div>the water is 63 degrees on lake austin and the fish seem to be pushing up into every creek in the mid lake section of the river. as always this time if year a wacky rig is king of fishing. stay shallow and always go all the way to the back</div>

<div>water has cooled a degree or two in the past couole days and it has slowed the fishing down a bit. it took the sun coming out today to make the fish start biting. we fished opening and points that go i to spawning areas. i focused on the spawning areas that can hold more fish. &nbsp;</div>

<div>responce fishing rod made by 6th sense fishing 7' med/hvy moderate fast action. had a 3/8oz tear deop weight free rigged on a 3/0 wide gap hook covered upnwith a 6th sense hogwalla</div>

<div>the fishing on lake austin is getting better and better. with the warming tamps the fish are in full pre spawn mode just waiting fir the water temos and day lengths to get to their prefered place! we caught some fish out in the middle of lake austin that were chasing bait but most came at the mouths of creeks and on grass edges while slowly draging a texas rig.</div>

<div>the 6th sense responce fishing rod 7' med/hvy moderate fast was the ticket for feeling those soft bites. on the end i had a hogwalla with a 3/8" tungsten weught to keep it tight to the bottom.&nbsp;</div>

<div>water is about as cold as it will gat all year 47 degrees in most of the lake. i stayed in the main river channel of lake austin and fished ledges and bait balls. occasionally i would find a fish swimming around by itself but most of them were in groups either on the bottom next to a drop off or chasing around schools of bait.&nbsp;</div>

<div>today i fished with 6th sense responce 7'4" spinning rod. armed with a 5/32 jig head and ozzie. i tried many different baits today and this was the profile they wanted.&nbsp;</div>

<div>the weather was crummy today while fishing lake travis so we decided to use moving baits to cover water and look for bait. we dis just that and ended uo having an incredible day! we fished some main lake transitions that had wind blowing on them and were loaded with bait as well as the mouth of a couple creeks that were also loaded with bait and fish chasing the bait.&nbsp;</div>

<div>today while fishing lake travis we used a 6th sense ESP cranking rod to trow the 6th sense PD7 in morningdawn and boy did the fish love that bait today! while the crankbait was being thrown in the front of the boat i was testing out some new live scope baits in the front and boy did they show out!</div>

<div>made a wuick trip to fish lake travis and had a really good couple hours. i found fish a little bit north of mid lake on wind blown main lake points. the fish on lake travis were hanging close to the bank and just off the fisrt drop off</div>

<div>today while fishing lake austin i spent a lot of time looking for where the grass started grow in patches and spread rather then being all over the place. after deciding on a plce to fish and throwing numberous shad imitating baits at the fish i could see in the grass, i couldnt get them to commit. i beleive i need to slow down and throw smaller baits &nbsp;</div>

<div>used heavy 6th sense rods to fish lake austin. i thre everyrhing from the hangiver and arig to underspinsand glide baits. &nbsp;</div>

<div>we poked around on lake austin fishing grass edges and points close to mouths of creeks on the main lake. the most productive grass was hydrill and eel grass. there is a gealthy mix of hydrilla, coontail, eel grass and milfoil&nbsp;</div>

<div>we used 6thsense rods to throw a coulle different baits on lake austin. the 2 that worked the best were the pd7 crank bait in morning dawn and an umbella rig fitted with 6th sense devine swim baits in ghost ice minnow.&nbsp;</div>
