<p><div>lake travis is up 38 feet ans still rising, now only 6ft below full. we are getting opportunity to fish all new water on lake travis and while bunch of flooded brush, creating tons of new habitat for the fish. today we focused on that 5-15 foot range making sure we are fishing good contour on the bottom. our best spot today while fishing lake travis was a saddle </div></p>

Guadalupe Bass

One for the books today! I took Cristina out on Lake Travis for a morning of fishing with Bass Tours ATX. The weather was perfect, with some clearing in the afternoon, and the water conditions were ideal for our target species.

What a great day on the water, couldn't ask for more action! I had the pleasure of taking Cesar and their crew out on a Bow Fishing Charter with Bass Tours ATX at the Sandy Creek Marina on Lake Travis in Lago Vista, TX. The weather was perfect, with partly cloudy skies throughout the day.

<div>the water on lake travis has cooled slightly over the oast few days dew to high winds and unisual weather. the water temp is 65 and the bass are shallow. we are fishing grass flats on lake travis. it seems like rihht now if you can find grass you can find bass.&nbsp;</div>

<div>today we put some 6th sense fishing rods to use. probably my favorite is the response serise by 6th sense. on them we had 1/4oz ball head jigs with 3" and 4" swim baits. sometimes we wiuld switch to an underspin to get some extra bites. also working very well right now is a dropshot trick worm. almost any color seems to work, the key is having it on a light weight, 3/16oz is what i have been using&nbsp;</div>

<div>the fishing on lake travis today was absolutly inredible we had one of my best days out there in a while. we boated well over 70 fish with our biggest being about 25 lbs. we soend the day in a mssive grass flat throwing an assorment of soft plastics and the occasional top water&nbsp;</div>

<div>today we fished a big grass flat on lake travis. the water is 68 degrees and the fish are ina ll stages of the spawn. we casted 4" swimbaits around the grass flat ams caught numerous fish.&nbsp;</div>

<div>fishing on lake austin today was yoir tyoical sprind day. the wayer was 65 and the fish are shallow and in canales and creeks. we caught them on moving baits in the morning then texas rigged worms in the afternoon&nbsp;</div>

<div>today on lake travis we targeted largemouth bass and had an outstanding day on the water. the bass continue to oush into shallow grass flats to begin picking a place for theor spawing behaiviors. we soent the while casting a grass edges and shallow sand flats to catch bass&nbsp;</div>

<div>the fishing on lake travis is bery good right now. if you can find a shallow flat with grass on it then more then likely there are bass in reasy to eat a swimbait&nbsp;</div>

<div>today on lake travis we fished with 6th sense response rods. the bait that did most of oir damage was the 3" baby whale also made by 6th sense&nbsp;</div>

<div>water temps on lake travis are 58-61 degrees and the fish are moving up in less then 10 feet of water pretty much through out the lake. While fishing today we targeted large grass flats that are being hit by the wind. fishing in 2'-10' of water</div>

<div>today while fishing on lake trvia we used 6th sense medium light soinning rods. since we are fishing grass i used a 15lb floro leaded with a 1/4oz jig head and 3"-4" swimbait.&nbsp;</div><div><br></div>

<div>the water is 63 degrees on lake austin and the fish seem to be pushing up into every creek in the mid lake section of the river. as always this time if year a wacky rig is king of fishing. stay shallow and always go all the way to the back</div>

<div>the water is 49-50 degrees and the bass in lake austin are schooled up in the river channel outside of spawning areas. most schools are actiy chasing bait bit some are in an area and wont leave the area</div>

Lake Austin fishing report 

<div>water has cooled a degree or two in the past couole days and it has slowed the fishing down a bit. it took the sun coming out today to make the fish start biting. we fished opening and points that go i to spawning areas. i focused on the spawning areas that can hold more fish. &nbsp;</div>

<div>responce fishing rod made by 6th sense fishing 7' med/hvy moderate fast action. had a 3/8oz tear deop weight free rigged on a 3/0 wide gap hook covered upnwith a 6th sense hogwalla</div>

<div>the fishing on lake austin is getting better and better. with the warming tamps the fish are in full pre spawn mode just waiting fir the water temos and day lengths to get to their prefered place! we caught some fish out in the middle of lake austin that were chasing bait but most came at the mouths of creeks and on grass edges while slowly draging a texas rig.</div>

<div>the 6th sense responce fishing rod 7' med/hvy moderate fast was the ticket for feeling those soft bites. on the end i had a hogwalla with a 3/8" tungsten weught to keep it tight to the bottom.&nbsp;</div>

<div>water is about as cold as it will gat all year 47 degrees in most of the lake. i stayed in the main river channel of lake austin and fished ledges and bait balls. occasionally i would find a fish swimming around by itself but most of them were in groups either on the bottom next to a drop off or chasing around schools of bait.&nbsp;</div>

<div>today i fished with 6th sense responce 7'4" spinning rod. armed with a 5/32 jig head and ozzie. i tried many different baits today and this was the profile they wanted.&nbsp;</div>

<div>the weather was crummy today while fishing lake travis so we decided to use moving baits to cover water and look for bait. we dis just that and ended uo having an incredible day! we fished some main lake transitions that had wind blowing on them and were loaded with bait as well as the mouth of a couple creeks that were also loaded with bait and fish chasing the bait.&nbsp;</div>

<div>today while fishing lake travis we used a 6th sense ESP cranking rod to trow the 6th sense PD7 in morningdawn and boy did the fish love that bait today! while the crankbait was being thrown in the front of the boat i was testing out some new live scope baits in the front and boy did they show out!</div>

<div>made a wuick trip to fish lake travis and had a really good couple hours. i found fish a little bit north of mid lake on wind blown main lake points. the fish on lake travis were hanging close to the bank and just off the fisrt drop off</div>

<div>today while fishing lake austin i spent a lot of time looking for where the grass started grow in patches and spread rather then being all over the place. after deciding on a plce to fish and throwing numberous shad imitating baits at the fish i could see in the grass, i couldnt get them to commit. i beleive i need to slow down and throw smaller baits &nbsp;</div>

<div>used heavy 6th sense rods to fish lake austin. i thre everyrhing from the hangiver and arig to underspinsand glide baits. &nbsp;</div>

<div>we poked around on lake austin fishing grass edges and points close to mouths of creeks on the main lake. the most productive grass was hydrill and eel grass. there is a gealthy mix of hydrilla, coontail, eel grass and milfoil&nbsp;</div>

<div>we used 6thsense rods to throw a coulle different baits on lake austin. the 2 that worked the best were the pd7 crank bait in morning dawn and an umbella rig fitted with 6th sense devine swim baits in ghost ice minnow.&nbsp;</div>

<div>we started fishing some main lake drains with grass and some flooded brush. we dis t have much kuck with our too waters and swim aits so we moved to a creek and ended up getting into them pretty good. the fish were holding in some flooded grass and bean bushes on some flat points in the backs of creeks.&nbsp;</div>

<div>today on lake travis we used 6th sense RESPONCE fishing rods equiped with shimano stradics. I have them lined with 15lb seaguar braid and a 12lb invisx leader. tje baid of the day was a 3.3 keitech swimbait on a 1/0 flashyswimer. also had some good fish caught on a berkley flat side&nbsp;</div>

<div>woke uo to the first cold front of the fall this morning and it for sure changed the fishing on lake travis. Fish on lake teavis are migrating to creeks and mouths of creeks where the bait is now located. We tageted banks on lake travis that are 45 degrees and rocky. The fish where up tight to the bank or sitting off the first ledge.&nbsp;</div>

<div>As always when im fishing i was using 6th sense rods and shimano reels lined with 20# seaguar invisix or 15# seaguar braid. the bait of the day was a 1/0 owner flashy swimmer with and 3.3 keitech on it.&nbsp;</div>

<div>today i poked around the mid portion of lake travis looking for oatches of isolated grass and checking any drain to see if there is grass in the back of it. any time you find isolated grass on lake travis there will be fish in it this time of year. fish tjem slowly with a texas rig or fish moving baits over the top of it</div>

<div>today while fishing lake travis i used a 7'2" 6th sense RESPONCE medium heavy acrion rod lined with 20# seaguar invisx. tied to the end was a 6th sense 2/0 wide gap hook and a 1/4oz tear drop weight free rigged. bait of the day was a 6th sense hogwalla and zoom trick work&nbsp;</div>

<div>i spent my morning graphing lake travis and looking for isolated grass, either cooltain or milfoil, mostof the grass on lake travis i found related closly to the brush the fish chase bait in early in the morning or a creek channel on the main lake body of lake travis. this grass was located in 10-18 feet of water, some grew up to 2' under the surface of lake travis&nbsp;</div>

<div>i fished lake travis with a 6th sense RESPONCE rod lined with 20# seaguar invix. on the end i had a 6th sense tungsten and 2/0 wide gap hook. the plastic of the day is a bellows gill</div>

<div>the wind was blowing pretty good so we decided to fish the windy side of the lake which is also flater and has some flooded brush. We found fish on the wind blown side of the flooded brush points, the water is dropping in the lake, about 2 feet in the last couple weeks, this making the fish move to the deepest brush they can find. &nbsp;</div>

<div>I was using a 6th sense 7'2" RESPONCE rod and shimano casting reel lined with 20lb seaguar invisx. On the end of it i had a 6th sense 1/4oz tungsten along with their 2/0 wide gap worm hook and a chartruse gill hogwalla.&nbsp;</div>

<div>we fished flat mainlake areas on lake travis that have defined drains in them. we always found the fish where the flooded brush and the creek channel got close together.&nbsp;</div>

<div>we used 6th sense RESPONSE rods woth a shimano slx reel. had them lined woth 20lb seaguar invisx, with 1/4oz texas rig finished with 6th sense new green pumkin pro hogwalla. this bait continued to get bit all theough the day. in the mornings we go through the same places with top water and swimbaits.&nbsp;</div>
